The Hunt for the Perfect Wedding Dress
Hunting for “the” wedding dress is not easy. Believe me, I’ve been hunting for months prior to my wedding. It took me such a long time to find the right style and cut that I wanted. I wanted a vintage cut dress that will go along with my Vintage Jewelry Set that my mom got me for my birthday. After countless visits to innumerable wedding gown boutiques, I was just about ready to give up. However, as luck would have it, I finally found the right style of dress that I wanted.
Okay, at first, I was disappointed that the dress I saw online at a blog post was not for sale and even if it was, I simply would not be able to afford it. It was a dress by Givenchy Haute Couture collection. It was a short cut dress with a nice blue ribbon. I fell in love with and was willing to do anything to wear that dress. So, I did the next best thing. All it took was a lot of coaxing for our local wedding dress shop to make the same dress for me. And true to form, she delivered and by September, I was walking down the aisle in a similar styled vintage wedding gown. I changed the color of the ribbon to match my lavender motif and it came out just perfect.
