How to Walk Down the Aisle

Most brides seldom think about how to properly walk down the aisle. There are brides that walk ever so slowly, savoring the moment. Then there are brides that just can’t seem to wait to get to the altar. You would think that their own “ghost of wedding past” was after them. Before, I saw a bride walk down the aisle, with her crystal raindrop jewelry set (which I couldn’t help admiring) stop in the middle of the red carpet, and then waved at everyone! She did this for about 20 seconds, just waving like Miss Universe to her fans, before finally walking off towards the altar.

Now, there is nothing wrong with doing this, but it would be better if she reserved that little gesture for when she does join a pageant. Ideally, when walking down the aisle, try not to be too nervous or too slow. Pace your walk. Take in the limelight, but not too much. Some brides are so anxious that they grip their beautiful bouquets so tight and within seconds they’re at the altar. Try not to be like this. Take a deep breath and drop your shoulders. Place the bouquet a little lower than your waist since this would look much nicer. This is especially true if you already have a scene stealer bouquet. Once you reach your groom, take your time when saying thank you and goodbye to the person that walked you down the aisle. It’s all about you, so relish the moment. Just don’t think it’s a beauty pageant and you’ll be good.
