Have A Charitable Wedding

493626935_a62784f191_mFor this recent Christmas wedding I attended, the bride and the groom had some really nifty give-aways in these really cute personalized star christmas tree ornament. This was their part of their thank you note, and along with this was also another note that says that a percentage of the wedding gift purchases guests have made via their chosen gift registry, went to fund charitable causes. The couple has been planning this ever since they decided on a December wedding. In the spirit of the season, they did not forget to give back the less unfortunate ones. Now, I am certain this union will be really blessed. Each year, when I set up my Christmas tree and see this star ornament, I would be reminded of how giving they are.

Anyone can actually plan a wedding fund raiser and I love how ideas like this are getting really popular among young couples planning their wedding. If you are planning a wedding for 2010, it might be a good idea to give this a little consideration and check with the I Do Foundation. You can create a wedding gift registry there as the foundation has partnered with several stores for this purpose and you can choose which charitable organization should your proceeds benefit from, or add one of your own choices.
