Have You Considered Combining Your Bachelor and Bachelorette’s Party?

At a Christmas dinner the other day, my colleague made use of this really elegant personalized ice bucket. When I complimented it, she told me the story of where she got it. It was actually given away at this combined bachelor and bachelorette party one of her college friends organized. We both thought that it was a cool idea – to have this parties together and wondered if couples are more open to this nowadays.

What usually happens is that on the same day, the bride and groom will do their own thing, with their on sets of friends. The would be staying at the same venue but they would also be holding their parties at different places, such as a hotel, for instance. And then afterwards, perhaps after two or three hours, everyone will be getting together for a drink and a nightcap.

I suggested this to a close friend of mine who was getting married next year, and as it turns out, she was already planning to do this and would be renting two hotel rooms for such an occasion.

I like the idea of a combined bachelor/bachelorette party because it really feels like the couple is merging their friends together. This is especially nice if one partner has yet to meet some of the other partner’s friends for the first time.
