Wedding Day Reality: The Bride Stresses Out and The Groom Plays Golf
When it comes to wedding preparations on the actual day of the wedding, it’s no secret that the bride and her bridesmaids usually have something more to do than anyone else in the entourage. It isn’t surprising if you actually see all of them lugging around more than one weekender tote bag to where the preparations are going to take place, as girls need to do a lot more than just wake up, dress up…and wait for the wedding to start.
The guys, on the other hand, have it easy. They don’t have a lot of stuff to prepare. They can just shower, dress up and face the people much, much later. In fact, they can sleep longer or perhaps enjoy a game of golf hours before the wedding starts.
Let’s be honest, weddings are a time when women have to look their best and prettiest. Without having to outshine the bride, of course, everyone that belongs to the female side of the entourage are expected to look fabulous. I’m not saying that guys aren’t expected the same…it’s just that weddings really are for the women. Ain’t that truth? For the women, this wedding preparation is a ceremony in itself…a grand effort.
And I don’t think that’s it unfair. It’s just the way things are. In some cases, it’s what women live for…next to the getting married part, of course.
