Wedding Fund-raiser, Anyone?
Got this nifty idea from when I attended a fund-raiser slash party a couple of years back. To help pay for the hospital expenses, since a friend’s wife was giving birth in two months time, her family organized a baby shower that turned into a fund raiser at the same time. I do not think it was tacky thing to do. Instead I found it really sweet.
But I’m thinking that maybe this could also work as a wedding fund raiser. Think about it…
Instead of the usual bachelor and bachelorette parties, a combined one should sound even better. And then to help raise funds, someone can bring along an engraved 300 poker chips set and then hold a poker tournament right there and then. Half the winnings can then go to the couple’s wedding fund, to help finance what else is needed to pay for the wedding. Or maybe use the funds for them to start their married life together. Everyone is actually going to be pitching in to really help the couple….yet it will be done in a much more enjoyable manner.
Let’s face it, getting married is going to be expensive. A little fund raising idea to finance it wouldn’t hurt.
