The Reluctant Bride & Groom

It is very normal for the bride and the groom to feel a little bit of reluctance in the middle of the wedding preparation. The stress of it all may be the whole cause of it and it may be the littlest of things that can cause one to break down. Like having to debate over whether a personalized sand unity vase is better than a unity candle. Or going with the salmon for the chicken, when it comes to the food at the reception.

I think this is the time when both the bride and groom meet the challenges of “for better, or for worse” test. Some actually make it and end up with a beautiful wedding, and some actually don’t. They either break up or have the wedding they don’t actually want.

With a situation like this, it is really very difficult to make a choice. It’s hard to proceed when you’re under stress…so the best thing I think the bride and groom must do is to have a reboot.

When things feel like it’s all on a pressure cooker, take a break. Go on a weekend holiday together and just forget about the wedding for once and enjoy being together. And then later, sit down and simplify things.
