The Wedding Letter
We couldn’t go to the wedding of my husband’s closest cousin as it was going to be miles away. Our finances just can’t allot for a budge of traveling to another country with three other kids in tow. But we did offer to pay for some of the things the bride and groom needed for their wedding such as their Gold Swirl Invitation Kit and a portion of the food for the reception, along with the other cousins who also cannot go. This, we think, is more practical than any other gift possible.
The wedding took place a few weeks ago and we got to see some of the photos and videos online. I truly loved it; it was beautiful. I was so inspired that I am thinking of writing my cousins in law a congratulatory letter, which I will have my kids and husband sign, too and then send via traditional snail mail. When I told my husband this, he mentions that it wasn’t necessary. But nobody writes letters anymore, so I think it would be uniquely personal and I know it would make the couple really happy.
I already have some ideas what to put in there and I wanted it to be free-flowing and from the heart as possible. But I also found a few good tips online to help me come up with a more coherent message.
