Those Hanging Flower Balls
I was looking at a couple of sites online and I found something that caught my eye. Being a flower enthusiast, I really liked the idea of creating and using flower pomanders to decorate a wedding. I’ll be helping decorate my friend’s officemate’s wedding in the next couple of weeks so I thought I’d put forward this idea of flower pomanders. I think there are plenty of creative ways that you can use it for wedding decor. I was thinking, for one, that it would make a great drawpiece right beside the starlight guest book & pen where the guests can sign up for the wedding.
Pomanders, for the unacquainted, is a ball usually made of perfumes like ambergris or musk. Today, they are popularly made from fragrant flowers to be used as decor for any special function. Back in the day, these were worn or sometimes placed in a vase to ward off infection. Now, they have become a staple decoration for beautiful weddings and other important occasions. These are not only lovely to look at, but also emit a fresh fragrance in the air. Some of the most common flowers used for these pomanders would be ones that can be easily grouped together in a circle, like spider mum or billy buttons. Having these flower balls as your decor would be a great way to elicit the “wow” factor from the crowd.
I just hope the bride and groom will like the idea since I think it would definitely serve as a gorgeous decor for their big day.
