Taming Your Tresses for your Big Day

Getting everything perfect for your wedding day is a big challenge. When I had my wedding day, I wasn’t just worried about getting the wedding decor right or the wedding dress; I was most of all worried about what I was going to do with my hair. My hair has given me plenty of challenges all throughout my life, from my prom night to being a presenter for our Christmas party and in my wedding; it has never really cooperated with me at all. I have dark brown, very wavy, thick long hair so for my wedding day I wanted to tie it up and yet still look pretty. I’ve never been a fan of bundled-up hair but don’t have much a choice. The great thing was that my mother gave me a vintage jewelry set that she thought would look great with my gown. Hence, my stylist friend came to the rescue and adopted that vintage motif with my hair. It was really pretty in the end and for once in my life, I didn’t feel like I was hiding my hair when I went for an updo.

Sometimes, the wedding hairstyle can do a lot to complement and enhance the look of the wedding dress as well as the whole ensemble. I was really glad that when I walked down that aisle I still felt pretty and not ashamed of what my hair looks like since I thought it looked quite majestic and beautiful on that day.
