Should you go for a Military Uniform or a Traditional Formal Wear?
A family friend, the father of the groom, was thinking of sponsoring the sets of dashing silver cufflinks the groomsmen should be made to wear for the wedding. But as it turns out the bride and groom decided on letting the male entourage wear their military uniform, since the groom and his comrades are soldiers. The cuff links may not be needed for the ceremony. However, I advise the father to still go ahead and get them sets, for remembrance (or they can use it at the wedding party when they change clothes!)
I didn’t think it was allowed to wear one’s uniform for the wedding. Apparently I haven’t been to military weddings a lot because this is actually a tradition that is allowed, should the bride and groom wish for it, or should the military man actually want to do so. According to this, military personnels would rather go to a formal affair, such as the wedding, in their uniform. It does make them look very dignified.
And the bride is actually very thrilled at the thought. It would be like getting a fairy tale wedding, with all the “soldiers” in the aisle, watching as the bride walk down from it. Ahhh, I can just imagine. It’s going to be a beautiful affair!
