A Groomsman with Disability
One of the best men to my cousin’s wedding is getting a very special present. Since he is a golf nut, a sports nut, he is getting Personalized PGA Tour Leaderboard Print. Everyone else is getting something different. My cousin intends to make this best man really feel very special. Because he is. He is my cousin’s disabled nephew (from his other side of the family). And he is going to be one of the junior best men.
His parents, were deeply touched they picked him out and really wanted for him to be a participant of the wedding. He is in his early 20′s and has, in fact, hardly seen what a wedding is like because he has been sheltered and confined in the house so much. So, this will really be very special for everyone.
Because we have all the right faculties we need to function, unlike disabled people, we tend to forget that they, too, can be part of something we can consider as normal activity. Disabled people can not only be part of the wedding entourage, they can also choose to get married the traditional way if they want to.
These days, with all the ideas man can come up with, anything is possible.
