Getting The Groom Involved For The Wedding Prep
For most weddings, it is actually the bride who does all the planning, calling the shots and getting all of the attention while the grooms stays supportive in the background. Maybe it has to do with the fact that planning and preparation is usually a woman’s area. Or that men don’t usually want to be bothered with deciding whether the Beach Collection Garter is prettier than the other choices.
But if you’re getting married, it would be nice to have the groom his say in the matter, too, right? There are plenty of ways for you to actually let the groom get involved. In fact, this is most ideal as you can start bonding together, and building your life as a couple.
Start little. Asking your husband-to-be’s opinion on how tall the cake should be is a good enough gesture that you want your significant other to get involved. Then when he warms up to it, you can then assign him for bigger tasks and choices.
Let him have his moment. Even if his opinion may not matter in the end (as women always decide what they want), at least asking him what he likes may help the bride get better perspective. The good thing about getting him involved is that you get to know your husband better and you let him know how much valuable his opinion is for you.
It would also be great to have him involved because women tend to go overboard with the preparation. A man’s outlook is more practical, thus you can avoid overspending or going over budget.
Take not of these things when you start planning your wedding with your husband-to-be.
