The Literal Smoking Bride
Whenever people see brides, they often don’t expect her to be posing for a wedding shot with a cigarette in hand. This was exactly what my friend did. She was able to shock most of the guests when she lighted a cigarette right before the wedding photographer snapped a picture of them as a couple. Her husband smoked too, but he was an occasional smoker compared to her. The groom actually gave her a nice gold plated cigarette holder as a small bridal token. On the other hand, she gave her groom a black face silver plated pocket watch. He loves watches so she though it would be appropriate to give him something that he can use and enjoy at the same time.
As the bride’s close friends, we knew that she was a chain smoker and at some point she was definitely going to need a smoke. Although it was quite unusual for some of the other guests, it was quite ordinary for us. There are some people who look at smoking as something that’s not ordinary, maybe even outright wrong, but for some people who are into smoking, it’s just ordinary. For constant smokers, it feels as if it’s a part of their personality. Of course, there is no denying the fact that smoking is not exactly good for your health, however, it’s really a matter of personal choice.
