Save Up on Wedding Decor by Creating Handmade Items
My budget conscious friend recently invited all of us for an afternoon meeting. She said that she wanted to enlist our help in creating some of the table decor that she wanted to have in her wedding. Being the craftswoman that she is, it was hardly surprising to actually hear her plan and create her own wedding paraphernalia. So, we pretty much spend the entire afternoon talking and planning while sipping out cold beverage atop her longdrive personalized coasters. There were a couple of things that she showed us how to do, one was a bird made from fabric that she wanted to have sit down atop the centerpiece. Another was that she created butterfly cut out paper to be placed on top of the wine glasses. These were marvelous and very whimsical.
The nice thing is that her husband is also thinking about having a whimsical decor for his own groomsmen cake. They won’t have to worry about the budget since her husband is a professional pastry maker so they won’t have to spend so much on money for both their cakes. Pretty much, they’ve got everything planned out and now all that’s left is the execution. We’re going to be meeting again in a couple of weeks and spend the entire weekend actually making the butterflies as well as the birds.
