When Grand Means Complicated
There are couples that settle for a normal wedding; on the other hand, there are couples that pull out all the stops when it comes to celebrating their big day. My friend, who happens to be a wedding planner, is assigned such a task. Although she knew that it was going to be her main job to pretty much organize and plan an 800-1000 guest wedding, she’s only human and she can’t help but feel overwhelmed. She has plenty of time since the wedding won’t be until November, but she simply didn’t expect that it was still going to be her job to get a personalized woody fillet knife for the groomsmen gifts. We were talking about it and she feels sometimes that she’s bitten off more than she can chew.
Planning a grand wedding means that you need to be completely organized. It is important to follow a strict plan when it comes to deciding on the details. There are the big things that you need to get done, but there are also the little things that you can come up to help organize a wedding. For instance, set up a separate email account just for the client or wedding. Emails are free anyway and it will be easier to track down all emails or info you need pertaining to the ceremony. Another thing any wedding planner should have is a good task calendar. Prepare a list of the things that need to be done and those that need updating. Moreover, research and look for the best possible items, products, locations etc. Plan it according to the budget, taste and preference of the couple celebrating this great occasion.
