Celebrating an Earth Friendly Wedding
My friend has decided that she wants to have a fully eco-friendly wedding. Marj is getting married in the next couple of months and she’s in the process of deciding about her wedding details. We went on a small picnic and was telling me about her ideas while sitting on the personalized sit ‘N sip cooler that they had. As for invitations, she’ll be using recycled paper and she wants to make sure that each guest understands the theme of the wedding. Instead of asking for specific gifts in her bridal registry, she also wants to simply ask the guests to contribute to her favorite Earth cause charity. She’ll be inviting various people who can represent these local organizations and have them be there to take the donations.
As for her wedding gown and other entourage gowns, she’s making sure that they are made from Earth friendly materials as well. My friend is definitely onto something here and I like her idea about making an environmentally friendly wedding. Although she still has a lot of big details to work out, the concept and the ideas are pretty solid. Moreover, it’s a good way to acquaint people, especially the ones in her circle, about the current need to take care of Mother Earth.
