Are Wedding Favors Necessary?
Weddings are big and important events, hence, it is necessary to pay attention to the littlest detail. However, weddings of today differ from weddings thrown a decade or more ago. People have varying standards when it comes to the arrangement as well as certain aspects of the wedding itself. For instance, for some people having that beach wedding cake topper is a must in their wedding. On the other hand, some people think that it is simply not important at all. Moreover, some people think that giving out wedding favors is very important while others think that it is no longer necessary.
Wedding favors have been a tradition since before. They were initially given as a little memento each of the guests for attending the wedding. It also served them as a reminder of the couple’s big day. However, for most practical couples, they think that giving out wedding favors is not only old-fashioned but also a waste of money. They would rather spend money on other aspects of the wedding rather than on the favors. The bottom line is that favors are not really necessary but it is a nice “thank you” piece to give away to your guests apart from a separate thank-you note. It is a matter of personal choice on whether to give out wedding favors or not.
