Wedding Colors for the Bridal Dress
I saw a wedding of a celebrity in the magazines recently and the bride wasn’t wearing white. She was, in fact, wearing a faint golden shade. Her gown was almost ecru or beige-like but it had golden trimmings. It made her really stand out. Everything matched so perfectly with her golden wedding theme that I noticed even the Starlight Ring Pillow that the ring bearer carried was in symmetry to all that is gold and white.
I’ve seen plenty of weddings with the bride ditching the traditional white gown for something different. In fact, in other countries, brides actually wore red instead of white, and I think that they look even more radiant. It is said that in Norway, the traditional wedding color is black and many moons ago, brides did used to parade in that color. The Scottish even have a different tradition —- as their brides wear something plaid instead of silks and laces.
This season, I think I know of a couple of brides who will be wearing pale yellows, pinks and blues, to match the mood of Spring.
Many are indeed trying something different with their wedding dress choices and I personally think this is a wonderful change.
