Wrong Details in the Invitation
Be extra careful and watchful when you intend to have your Premium Self-Mailer Invitation Kit done. Check for typos and the wedding details thoroughly before approving the final print. You could have a misspelled name or worse, the wrong information, and it will never be corrected anymore. You would have this mistake immortalized in your wedding scrapbook.
I know it may sound odd and funny, but it does happen. Take this case of a groom who is feeling quite a bit sad there might not be any guests coming to the wedding. His problem? They sent out invitations bearing the wrong address of where the wedding was supposed to take place. Now, he’s finding ways for Google Map to help him out:
He writes to them:
Dear Google Gods,
Please have pity in my poor information-using soul. I am getting married to a beautiful young school teacher in July, and today I was informed that there is a typo on my invitation! That typo “42 Chesterfield Road, Keene, NH” entered into the Maps search field returns a location that is not even in Keene NH! Including the zip code in the query makes it “42 Chesterfield Road, Keene, 03431″. This search query puts you much closer to Stonewall Farm, a picturesque community farm where our event will support educational outreach on farming – the bedrock technology of civilization. We are taking steps to notify people of the typo, but I fear that by Your Benevolent Guidance, Google Maps, they may seek truth incorrectly and be led astray.
Your best bet at avoiding this is to really triple check all the details of your invitation.
All the best on your wedding!
