Disagreeing on the Honeymoon Details
For many newlywed couples, the honeymoon is one of the most awaited periods after the wedding. It is going to be the first time that a couple will be spending time with each other as husband and wife. However, what if you have everything planned. You already decided that you will be heading off to some paradise beach in the Caribbean, you’ve set up the dates and made reservations; you even got the metro hanging toiletry bag ready. Unfortunately, your husband or spouse completely disagrees with you? What do you do?
If this happens, it can become a bit of a bind.Certainly, you wouldn’t want to be fighting with your new spouse just weeks after your wedding. The best thing to do would be to compromise. Admit that it was wrong of you to assume that he or she would just agree on everything you planned. Then ask him or her what they would want to do and where they would want to go. It is always best to find a common ground and settle on that. In fact, that’s what marriage is all about. It’s a balancing act at best between what you want and what you spouse wants.
