Wedding Invite with a Guest
Getting invited to a wedding can be a bit tricky especially if you are unsure whether you can bring a guest with you or not. This happened to my brother the last time. He got invited to a wedding by a close friend recently. He has pretty much prepared for it, including bringing his good friend a sherlock tortoise shell pipe lighter. (His friend has a fascination with lighters.) However, one thing he was unsure about was whether he was allowed to bring a friend along, in this case, his girlfriend.
Most wedding invites normally have an RSVP card to let the couple know whether the guest will be arriving or not. Usually, if you are allowed to bring in an extra person or guest, it would say so on the card. If it’s not there, then you can do the next best thing which is to call up the host and ask whether it was possible if you could bring someone along. Taking care of this ahead of time will help save you tons of headache. I know of some people who just went along and brought guests even if they were not allowed to do so and it was very annoying and often problematic for the wedding coordinator who had to organize the seats and everything. Always take this into consideration and ask beforehand if it’s okay to bring along a guest.
