The Rock and Roll Daughter Wedding
A lot of people are often touchy and opinionated that if they feel that one particular instance their thoughts about a particular theme/situation/event is soiled, they’re going to have their say. Well, one of those people is my friend’s mom. She was upset and bothered that her daughter, who is getting married this October, is planning to celebrate a Gothic style rock n’ roll themed wedding. Instead of the traditional white gown, she’ll be donning a black and hot pink ensemble. Her bridesmaids will be walking down the aisle with cigarettes on one hand and bullseye stainless steel 8oz flask with built-in shot cup and key ring on the other hand. It’s just my friend’s sarcastic sense of humor. However, of course, the mother is all up in arms about it.
She thinks that it is too much and very untraditional. She has expressed her opinion that if her daughter doesn’t make changes to her wedding ideas, she’s probably not going to attend the big celebration. Now, it’s understandable that every parent just wants her daughter’s wedding to be beautiful and special, but parents also need to understand that their daughters/sons have their own ideas and are their own person. They will know what they want and what they don’t want to have for their wedding. I am not sure how they will end up fixing this but knowing my friend, she’s probably not going to let anybody stop her wedding, not even her mother. We’ll see.
