Making Your City Hall Wedding Special

Okay, so you want to just get the Mr. & Mrs. vows over with. Oftentimes, when couples are constrained for time and budget, they do the next best thing to make their union legal without the overly expensive and extravagant wedding celebration; get married in the city hall. So, some couples might think that this is completely unromantic but any kind of wedding can be made special as long as you exert a bit of effort. Of course, you might want to put off handing out your wallet black leatherette 6oz liquor flask until after the wedding is over.

One thing to keep in mind is that just because you are getting married in a city hall doesn’t mean you cannot dress up. You can still wear a gorgeous wedding gown but you might want to lay back on the train. You can wear a beautiful dressy gown that still reverberates with your color theme. Your witnesses can also wear similarly themed outfits. It’s still special to hold the bouquet while getting sworn into marriage with you loved one. Also, after the official ceremony is done, you can then party. It’s up to you whether you’ll head to the nearest reception hall or simply have a small party for friends and family. Usually, the latter is more common. In the party, you can still go through all the rituals that a normal wedding would have including bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, the first dance and even throwing the wedding garter.
