Cancelled RSVPs
Although generally, RSVP invites are always a good thing since you know exactly how many people will be attending your wedding or engagement party and who they are. However, there are times when things don’t go according to plan and even RSVP’d guests who already said that they would come join you on your celebration, actually don’t show up. Sometimes, as the host, you get anxious about who’s coming to your party and who isn’t and even though you feel like sipping from that mini stainless steel 4oz hip flask in case people you expect don’t show up; have some patience. The guests who don’t show up on your celebration could be in some sort of emergency, hence, they couldn’t attend your party.
If they have time, they will definitely inform you of what happened. Now, if you see a couple of tables empty in your party, don’t sweat it. Just concentrate on the guests that are there. Thank them for making it and reserve judgment for those who said “yes” to the RSVP but couldn’t make it. Wait for what they have to say before accusing them of wasting your time or even just lashing out on them. This will also help to not ruin your disposition during the party.
