Overcoming the Wedding Blues

For most brides, celebrating the wedding is absolute bliss. This is like one of the best days that could happen to any woman. The exhilaration of planning the wedding, from getting the invitations ready, to picking the wedding gown, buying the Impresio stainless steel cufflinks, deciding on the wedding desserts and of course, the actual wedding itself. It’s all a big whirlwind of bliss and joy, even if there are also a couple of bumps and challenges ahead. However, what happens when the limelight is gone? When all the attention from you has gone away and now you simply become the “married woman” or the “housewife?”

For some women, this can be quite frustrating. There’s no doubt that the attention is definitely something that they miss. The truth is that there’s no doubt that brides can feel a bit lonely and mourn the loss of attention, but just look at it from a different angle. As a married woman, you now have plenty of things to look forward to as a wife. If you have a child already, you can explore and enjoy the many facets of motherhood. Think of the many wonderful things that you have ahead. It’s okay to mourn a little bit but spending too much on it is simply unhealthy. If you still don’t have a baby, don’t feel pressured that you need to have a baby to make your marriage work. Look on the bright side of your married life and enjoy yourselves as a newlywed couple.
