What does RSVP Mean?
RSVP is an abbreviation of a French word repondez s’il vous plait, which means “respond if you please.” RSVPs are sent to the guests from the host. In wedding it is sent along with the invitation card. It is really rude not to RSVP. RSVP’s are really important to the hosts especially if the event is really important like a wedding, since the host will have to finalize the final count on their catering and seating arrangement of the guests. When the deadline of the RSVP has pass and there are a few who didn’t RSVP, it is proper to call the guests to ask if they are attending the wedding day.
